- Kate “The outside world is an inspiring and stimulating place. It’s full of other people and perspectives, puzzles, travel, beauty, fresh air, fun and learning, things that I want and need to stay sane and be happy. I can look down the hill that we live on to Brighton and the sea and out to the country and everything I need seems to be in my reach. I feel satisfied and empowered because I can usually interact with and use my immediate environment in a way that makes sense to me and meets my needs. The outside world can also be a random and harsh place full of challenges that are out of my control that can make me feel anxious and hopeless. Traffic and weather, noise, deadlines, problems, work, difficult people, uncertainty violence, unfairness, and politics can be much more easily encountered when I venture outside. This makes the world seem like a much darker and brutal place that I sometimes need to hide and protect myself from.”
- Justin ” My daily outlook, Is definitely influenced by the way the outside world is projected to me each day. I have various reactions throughout the day to subconscious effects on how the world brings itself into my life.”
- Simon . “I’m constantly influenced by the outside world. The music I make, the emotions I feel are all dictated by my environment. It may be the weather, politics or how the interactions I have with people.”
- Ian “In order to live we must gather things from outside and consume them in some way. Sunlight, food, and love all come from outside and must be found amongst the grey, concrete and loveless.”
- Bobby “Inside is the place where I collect things from the outside world. Things I need and things I like. I enjoy finding new things. I enjoy meeting new people.”
